Sitsit

Sitsit is an academic three course dinner party but it has only a little to do with eating and drinking. Instead it's about singing and having fun in good company. Sitsit is also a very usual party concept in Finnish student life and has almost as many variations as there are sitsi-parties held.

Fuusio - Guild's anniversary party

Fuusio is the name of the Guild of Physics' anniversary party. The anniversary usually begins with a cocktail party followed by a formal, academic dinner party and its afterparties. The fun continues and reaches its climax the next morning at the very merry "sillis", a brunch often enjoyed with sparkling wine and most definitely in the best company. Dress code at the anniversary itself is white tie, but at sillis the dress code is informal.

Excursions

The term excursion (excu or XQ in short) may refer to anything between a few hour company visit and a week or even longer lasting trip abroad. What's mutual is that in both cases there is a group of students visiting something they consider interesting. Excu is a great way of both learning about working life or different cultures and having a good time. Some excursions are in Finnish, but there are also plenty of excus in English. Sauna evenings

Sauna evening is an informal party which usually has a theme. As it may be guessed from the name, there is also a possibility to enjoy sauna at sauna evening, but it's not compulsory. A sauna evening is a relaxed event for meeting friends and chilling.

Speksi

Speksi is an interactive and partly improvised musical-like play which can't be explained properly, it needs to be experienced. The second Fyysikkospeksi (speksi made by members of Fyysikkokilta) premieres next November.
